Pulling an eight-pound bass out of a heavy growth of hydrilla is no challenge for the Winch. The Winch uses oversized Duragear™ gears made of heavy-duty and corrosion resistant brass. The X-Cräftic™ aluminum alloy one-piece frame and side plate also resists corrosion for a lifetime of solid Abu Garcia performance, yet the lightweight 8.54-ounce reel is comfortable to use all day long. Adding to the reel’s corrosion resistant features are eleven HPCR® (High Performance Corrosion Resistant) bearings. A smooth drag is critical to fish management and our now world famous Carbon Matrix™ Drag System incorporates the most consistent drag pull of any reel in its class—a full 24 pounds of drag!
